The online event will take place over a optional-Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We plan to open the Saturday event at 9:30 with welcoming talks and a guest lecture; with the competition starting at 10:30 GMT. The exam will officially last four hours, however there will be a half-hour break in the middle to allow time for you to make yourself lunch. While we imagine all participants will want to enjoy the break, we will not penalise teams who work on the exam during this time. After the exam, we will allow an extra half-hour for people to scan and upload their exam. There will be more guest lectures after the competition and a chance for some online socialising. There will also be a guest lecture and a Exam Q&A on the optional-Friday. This has a earlier schedule for the talks/online socials to make it easier on different time-zones. We understand that not everyone will be able to attend, so all exam-relevant information will be repeated on the Saturday. The sunday will contain exciting talks and anouncing the winner.
We require that at least one member from each participating team is present on a Zoom call; this is not to stop potential cheating per se, but to allow participants to ask questions regarding the exam problems. We will also provide break-out rooms for you to communicate between your team members.
